The Center for Urban Renewal and Education (CURE) held its annual CURE Clergy National Policy Summit, an in-person private gathering that convened pastors from distressed communities to learn from each other and share ideas with a distinguished list of speakers and guests. This year's theme was "Restoring Truth and Advancing Freedom."

The Center for Urban Renewal and Education held its 2022 National Annual Policy Summit in Washington D.C. on October 3-5, 2022. The National Annual Policy Summit is an in-person conference that convenes pastors from the black community to learn from and share ideas with a distinguished list of speakers and guests. In the wake of the Dobbs decision this year, the summit focused heavily on pro-life issues but also hit upon themes like education choice, religious freedom, the economy, and the 2022 election.

CURE Founder and President Star Parker convened with U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.), U.S. Representative Chris Smith (R-N.J.), Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America President Marjorie Dannenfelser, and other pro-life women leaders to introduce the Protecting Pain-Capable Unborn Children from Late-Term Abortions Act, federal legislation to limit abortion after 15 weeks.

The Center for Urban Renewal and Education hosted the 2022 Ohio Mini Summit: Resolution for Life, Liberty & the Pursuit of Happiness. This event brought the policy expertise of Washington, D.C. right to Ohio, mirroring CURE's annual National Policy Summit series. Special guests included CURE Founder & President Star Parker, Apostle Arthur McGuire, Charlotte McGuire, Pastor Walton Moss, and Darlene Moss.

This press conference featured prominent black pro-life experts and advocates celebrating the Supreme Court's recent decision to overturn Roe v. Wade, and pushing back against plans by Congress and the Biden Administration to pass national legislation allowing abortion up until the moment of birth.

This press conference gathered prominent leaders of the Pro-Life movement to share their stories about how abortion has affected them and their communities firsthand, and why the future must be one where the lives of the unborn are protected. We also unveiled our new report, “The Impact of Abortion on the Black Community,” which details this crisis further.

We held a press conference with black pastors, community leaders, and policy experts to expose the disastrous impact of the Build Back Better bill, particularly on African-Americans.

Our annual national policy summit returned to Washington, D.C. this year with the theme of “The State of Black America.” In these inspiring and exciting few days, pastors from our national network gathered in Washington and experienced first-hand our message about the importance of a free nation under God and what it means in the areas of public policy that affect their communities.
