WAYS TO MAKE A GIFT

  • Send a Check. One of the most convenient and popular ways to support CURE is by sending a check, made payable to Center for Urban Renewal and Education, to 529 14th Street NW, Suite 642Washington, D.C. 20004
  • Become a Monthly Supporter. You can support CURE with a fixed amount given monthly, quarterly, or annually. On curepolicy.org, you can select when your support should be renewed. You’ll have confidence knowing that your support will continue steadily throughout the year, and CURE can plan its programs knowing that your support will be there.
  • Make a Stock Gift. Many CURE supporters possess appreciated shares of securities, which could trigger a large tax bill if sold. Instead, you can translate those gains into support for CURE and possibly claim a tax deduction for the full amount as well. Should you want to donate shares, please call us for more details.
  • Make a Gift Directly from Your IRA. Many conservatives have managed their assets so well that they do not need the Required Minimum Distributions from their IRA’s. If you are 70 ½ years of age, you can make a direct distribution from your IRA to CURE. This is Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD), which is limited to $100,000 annually, counts towards your annual Required Minimum Distribution amount. For married couples, each spouse can make a QCD for a potential total of $200,000.
  • Open a Charitable Gift Annuity. (CGA). A CGA is a contract between you and CURE that produces income for the rest of your life, and part of which may be tax deductible.
  • Remember CURE in Your Will or Living Trust. This option is simple and provides the donor with ultimate control over their gift. Often through one sentence, a donor can designate that a certain amount, percentage, or asset can be gifted to CURE in their estate.
  • Name CURE as a Beneficiary of a life insurance policy, bank, or brokerage account; in a matter of minutes, a donor can name CURE as the beneficiary of any of these.
  • Make a Blended Gift. If you would like to make a significant gift to CURE, but do not have all the cash available at once, we encourage you to consider a gift that blends annual support, a multi-year pledge, and the inclusion in your estate plans.
  • Make a Non-Cash Asset Gift. Through our partnership with national charitable organizations, we can receive several types of non-cash asset gifts such as real estate and privately held shares.

Why Support CURE?

CURE depends solely on tax-deductible contributions from Partners who share our commitment. When you support CURE, you are not just a contributor, you are a colleague.
