Star Parker Joins Senator Lindsay Graham, Susan B. Anthony, And Others To Announce A 15-Week Ban On Abortions
For immediate release: September 13, 2022
“Their sweeping ‘health’ exception empowers an abortionist to kill humanity in the womb through all nine months of pregnancy.”
Washington, D.C.– Today, CURE Founder and President Star Parker convened with U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.), U.S. Representative Chris Smith (R-N.J.), Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America President Marjorie Dannenfelser, and other pro-life women leaders to introduce the Protecting Pain-Capable Unborn Children from Late-Term Abortions Act, federal legislation to limit abortion after 15 weeks.
Graham announced the bill at a press conference today at the U.S. Capitol, and the press conference can be viewed here.
“I want to thank Senator Graham for introducing this life-affirming legislation and note how favorably it contrasts with pro-abortion bills in the House and Senate.
The Supreme Court’s Dobbs decision returned abortion policy to the democratic process. While they claim to be proponents of democracy, President Biden and congressional Democrats are pushing legislation that would override every law or regulation that limits abortion at any point in pregnancy.
Their sweeping “health” exception empowers an abortionist to kill humanity in the womb through all nine months of pregnancy.
These abortion bills being pushed by Democrats explicitly override the Religious Freedom Restoration Act (RFRA) – removing a conscience protection for doctors and nurses to not perform abortion – and they shamefully inject racial allegations to slander the entire pro-life community,” Parker explained.
“How extreme have Democrats become that they do not believe doctors and nurses should be protected in law to not perform an abortion against their will?
The House legislation and original Senate bill link pro-life Americans to “systems of oppression . . . white supremacy, and anti-black racism”, allegations that are disgraceful when you consider that the largest abortion provider in America was founded by a eugenicist. Since Roe became law in 1973, more than 20 million blacks have died at the hands of abortionists.
And Democrats want to interject race? These divisive tactics of race-baiting in an attempt to codify abortion into national law are offensive and should be rejected.
CURE Policy stands with the entire pro-life community and with Senator Graham as we affirm the first right recognized in the Declaration of Independence – the right to life.”
