Solutions for Saving Our Country (Part 2)

CURE America: Episode 61

This week on CURE America with Star Parker, we bring you more from the Center for Urban Renewal & Education’s (CURE) National Policy Summit in Washington D.C. We had an amazing time of fellowship and collaboration with more than 60 pastors from across the country serving in our most distressed communities. We were blessed to have some of the nation’s leading policy experts give us important insights on some on the most pressing issues of our day.

Last week we brought you former Attorney General of the United States, William Barr, and this week we feature a CURE Board Member, T.W. Shannon, who is the former Oklahoma Speaker of the House and now serves as President and CEO of the Chickasaw Community Bank. His powerful speech was motivating and poignant as Americans see a nation divided and in darkness.

We also bring you a portion of a panel discussion on Policing in Poor Communities. Moderated by CURE Board Member and former Ohio Secretary of State, Ken Blackwell, the panel featured Pastor Walter Moss, Project Director of the Community Initiative to Reduce Violence in Canton, OH, and Jason Johnson, President of the Law Enforcement Legal Defense Fund. In light of the attacks on law enforcement and calls for defunding and dismantling police departments, this powerful discussion provides important information to pastors and faith leaders to help them impact their communities.

Join us again next week for more from CURE’s National Policy Summit.
